During our time in Kaposwar, we received so many warm welcomes to the homes of friends. One afternoon, we went to visit Josephine Kipyatich and her family for a close-up farm experience. We held baby chicks, picked tropical fruits from the trees, fed the chickens & the bull, and then helped with the milking of the cow. All of the children had a turn (and Mommy, too). We got six bottles of milk in just a short time (even with our inexperienced hands). It was a lovely day and we're thankful for Josephine and her daughter, Chesang, and their incredible patience! Please pray for this precious family, that the Lord would continue to provide for all their needs and protect and guide Josephine and her children. She is a widow and cares not only for her own children but also for those of her late sister. She is passionate about serving the Lord and just completed her degree at the new Theological Training College in Kapsowar. She hopes to go on to receive her training in Christian counseling. One of her sons works for the Kenyan military and is often in dangerous situations. Please pray for his protection. Another son has done his training in nursing and would like to go on to become a surgeon and give back to the community by working at Kapsowar Hospital. Pray that he would keep his vision as he goes through his training. Her daughter, Chesang, was our right hand during our story times helping us to organize the games and caring tenderly for the children.
